The most impressive sight in Ivory
Coast was an enormous Basillica in
the country's capital, Yamoussoukro. The Basillica is actually
the largest in the world! St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome would
easilly fit inside its dome and it is now the property of the
Vatican. The amazing structure was built by the Ivory Coast's
Catholic president in 1996. It has been widely criticized by
the majority Muslim population as a waste of money.
