The next morning, I reported the crime at the local Police station (right). The officer was extremely nervous: chain-smoking and drinking coffee while he took down my testimony. Several times, he asked me if I felt threatened by the zacheroller. I answered "yes." Apparently, it is a serious crime to threaten anybody - more serious than theft - which tells you something about Dutch culture.
