Fortunately, some by-standers saw that the zacheroller threw my wallet into a trash bin. In Amsterdam the trash bins are round, tall and mounted on the street. You can't move them or lift them up. So, I had do a dumpster dive and get some help before I got my wallet and credit cards back.

In this picture, we see how the city collects garbage out of these immobile trash cans. A large, elephant-like nose sucks the trash out.
